City Teacher

Jeff Solomon White and Jewish (Jonathan Sale) is raised by adopted 
Black parents (Glynn Turman, Ella Joyce) after his parents are killed in a car accident. He dedicates his life to public service, beginning as a Parole Officer and dealing with dangerous felons. His bosses (Chuck D, Tommy Ford) convinces him to meet with School Principal (Frank Vincent) about teaching reading to an all Black class of potential future felons who are also illiterate in the New York City Public School System against his wife's (Heather Tom) wishes. He soon finds himself in a situation where his students and felons come together. In order to save the students from the Prison System and in order to teach them to read, he has to fight the Schoo System.
